Farm Stay and Spring Getaway - Meaford on Georgian Bay

For this trip we will go to the quaint town of Meaford which is west of Collingwood and Blue Mountain, south of Wiarton and on the shores of Georgian Bay. Lots of outdoors activities and hiking nearby. Great views.

Depart Friday after work around 5pm by carpooling, and return on Monday (packing up our airbnb by about 11am). That's 3 nights, and about 2.5 days. We will have various carpool departure spots.

I will accommodate up to 19 people on this trip. There are 16 beds and 3 spots for people with air mattresses who will get a $50 discount on the accommodation if they volunteer.

About RSVPs: Please read all RSVP instructions further below. Everyone goes to wait list to start. No one is confirmed attendance until payment is received and the organizer has spoken to you. Payment secures your spot.
Responsiveness: Best way to secure your spot is to make sure you check your messages on meetup to see if I contacted you. If I don't hear from you, I'll move on to the next person on the list.

About the Trip: This is an outdoors exploring weekend with still time for downtime and relaxation. What will we do over the weekend: Hiking, possibly horseback riding (I have to research this), exploring the town, relaxing at the cottage playing games, sitting by the fire pit, socializing over wine/beer, cooking food together and more!

About the Farm Stay/Cottage: Place is secluded and rural but close to nearby towns. It is large and spacious, comfortable but not luxurious. Perfect for larger group with lots of places to hangout out and chill together. It has 8 bedrooms with 16 twin beds, large kitchen, and multiple bathrooms/showers. Has all modern amenities including wifi and a Karaoke system for evening fun. All bed linens provided, has a bbq, and "Pit Barrel Cooker." I'll share the link to the cottage after you have rsvped.

Cost for event:
-Accommodation for 3 nights - I'll email costs to everyone separately but it will be no more than $212, which will include accommodation and a meetup fee. Cost depends on the number of people attending.
- $ to contribute to gas for driving there. Gas costs are determined at the end of the trip. Drivers are reimbursed for their gas.
- $ for any extra activites or parking costs.

Everybody must answer both RSVP questions to be moved to the GOING list, which you should see when you sign up for the event (everyone goes to the waitlist first):
(1) What is your cell number? (this is private - only the organizer sees this info)
(2) What are your transportation plans?
A. Passenger at carpool
B. Driver at carpool (I have a car) for x passengers - do not say "B" unless you own your own car or willing to pay the full cost of any rentals you book.
C. Prefer to be passenger, but driver at carpool for x passengers if needed

The organizer will monitor the RSVPs.
