Canada Day Farmhouse Weekend with Hiking, Swimming in Pool, local sites!

Details

Let's get outdoors, hike, swim, and get to know new people on this outdoors weekend! I've organized many weekend trips for groups so you can be confident this trip will be well planned with good vibes.

*Note that you must have Monday, June 30th off work to attend this trip, as June 30th is not an official holiday. Yah, it's one of those awkward holidays that happen in the middle of the week, sigh.

*Cost outlined further below, including a meetup fee.

*Preference for the first 6 spots (total 12 spaces) will be given to those who have not attended a WOOT event before. This is so that we have a mix of familiar and new people on the event. Please see further below for more RSVP details.

Description: I have rented a beautiful farmhouse with a pool in Mulmur, Ontario. Near Mansfield, Creemore, and near lots of hiking trails!

Activities: We'll do an eclectic mix of activities: hike, swim in the pool, stargaze, BBQ, play Pickle Ball (let's learn!), tell personal stories, play Board Games in the evening, listen to music, relax, enjoy nature, and more! We are going to have so much fun. We might find a beach, a brewery for some beer tasting, or pub at some point during the trip.

Carpool: The organizer will arrange carpooling for everyone. Depart Saturday morning early to make the most of the day (with an activity on Saturday before we check-in) and depart on Tuesday, July 1st at 11am. That's 3 nights (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night), and more than 2 full days.

Accommodation Details: I have rented a farmhouse with space for 12 people. Most people will get there own bed. A couple of beds might be reserved for couples who will share, everyone else will have their own. There are 4 bathrooms, air conditioning, full kitchen, and many other amenities. It's not luxurious but we will be comfortable.

About RSVPs: Please read all RSVP instructions further below. Be sure to provide your phone number so the organizer can contact you. Everyone goes to wait list to start. No one is confirmed attendance until payment is received and the organizer has spoken to you. Payment secures your spot.

Responsiveness: Best way to secure your spot is to make sure you check your messages on meetup to see if I contacted you. If I don't hear from you, I'll move on to the next person on the list.

About the Trip: This is an outdoors weekend so become prepared for moderate hikes, sticking together most of the time as a group to do activities, and still plenty of time to relax, and carve out a bit of time to yourself.

Cost for event: - Direct message organizer for payment. You don't have a spot until payment!
- Accommodation for 3 nights
- $ to contribute to gas for driving there and parking. Gas costs are determined at the end of the trip. Drivers are reimbursed for their gas.
- Most activities will be low cost, but $ for any extra activities
- Meetup fee of $25 - These event take a lot of time for the organizer and a commitment.
- Food - we share some meals and have some individuals meals such as breakfast and lunch (we will go for groceries on the drive up and you are free to bring from home too). For shared meals you will probably contribute to a meal with those you carpool with. We usually have a fun potluck (or coordinated theme meal) on one night and a BBQ on another.

WOOT Score: Outdoors 5, Adventure 4, Fun 5, overall WOOT Score - 5++ (I only post events that are a 5 = awesome)

Everybody must answer both RSVP questions to be moved to the GOING list, which you should see when you sign up for the event (everyone goes to the waitlist first):
(1) What is your cell number? (this is private - only the organizer sees this info)
(2) What are your transportation plans?
A. Passenger at carpool
B. Driver at carpool (I have a car) for x passengers - do not say "B" unless you own your own car or willing to pay the full cost of any rentals you book.
C. Prefer to be passenger, but driver at carpool for x passengers if needed

The organizer will monitor the RSVPs.

Hope you can make it and hope you can join us!
