Would you like to practice speaking Italian (hai paura di parlare) ? Would you like to meet with others who are interested in Italian culture and travel to Italy? We welcome and offer an opportunity for all levels of language skills with the Italian language. Join us to meet people with common interests and practice your Italian language skills.
What we're about
This group is for anyone learning or wanting the chance to speak Italian with others in person in the Worcester area. All levels are welcome with the idea that those more advanced will have patience with those less experienced. We would welcome native Italian speakers who are interested in practicing their English, helping others learn to speak Italian, or who just want to be with others who are interested in Italy and la lingua italiana!
What we do
Most of our meetings will be unstructured. The idea is to give participants an opportunity to practice speaking, but feel free to speak in English if that is what makes you comfortable. Also feel free to switch between Italian and English. The idea is to learn and to become comfortable with speaking, the hardest part of speaking a new language. We may incorporate some games or short readings if there is interest.
Where?
We have been meeting at the Auburn Mall at the seating area outside of Macy's (where the first floor of the store opens to the inside of the mall). Check event details to confirm.
When?
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. in Auburn.
