This week we will be discussing the 2026 Festival di Sanremo, which just wrapped up on Saturday, February 28. The Festival di Sanremo is Italy's most iconic and long-running music competition, held annually in the coastal city of Sanremo. It serves as both a celebration of Italian pop music and the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

We will listen to the top 5 songs from the festival, read the lyrics, and do our best in translating them to English. Lyrics are very hard to translate because they tend to be poetic, sometimes non-sensical, and often sung rapidly. Despite this, it can be fun to listen to the popular music of Italy.
