End of the Season Hike - Mt. Washington, New Hampshire

Join Lothar & Geoff Franke on the weekend of September 7th (rain date September 14th) for our annual "end of the hiking season" hike up Mt. Washington. We go up on Friday (September 6th) and return on Sunday morning - we think you should plan on coming up on Friday since the drive is about 2 hours and 45 minutes one way and Saturday will be a long day. The hike will happen on Saturday starting at around 7 a.m. This is an all day hike with a minimum distance of 10 miles round trip (depending on the trail selection, the distance could be up to 14 miles). Once we know who is coming we will decide on a route.

We stay in Twin Mountain at Twin Mountain Cottages - a small place with basic homey cottages (5 cottages). The price is right and the cottages all have a kitchenette with everything you need including a stove, refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave. There are also several other motels in the area.
