Themes aren't required, but if you want to be eligible for the honor of naming the audience favorite and a $25 gift card to a local bookstore.

In addition to open mic readers, this month’s featured guest is Joshua Ginsberg, author of “Tampa Bay Scavenger” and “Secret Tampa Bay.”

In 2016, this writer, entrepreneur and curiosity seeker decided with his wife to trade in the frigid winters of the Midwest for the year-round sunshine of Tampa Bay.

He has had numerous published works of poetry, fiction and non-fiction, and has been a business proposal writer and professional resume writer for over ten years.

He has also had a hand in launching multiple startups including the web-based art leasing business which he owned and operated in Chicago.

He currently lives in Tampa’s Town and Country neighborhood with his wife, Jen, and their Shih Tzu, Tinker Bell.

The Open Mic Rules:
1. Every reader gets 7 minutes to share their work.
2. We’ll limit each event to just 10 readers.
3. Toss your name in the bucket when you arrive. Names will be chosen at random.
4. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance. No cash ticket sales at the door. Ticket link coming soon.
5. Capacity is limited to 50 to 70%. So, get your ticket early!
6. Share a piece inspired by the monthly theme to be eligible for a prize and honor of audience favorite of the evening.
