Wondering whether your website is legally required to be accessible in the United States? Join us for a talk about the digital accessibility legal landscape in the United States presented by Lainey Feingold, a disability rights lawyer and author who has been practicing in this space for more than 25 years.

This presentation will cover the fundamentals of why accessibility is a civil right of disabled people and share up-to-date developments in the digital accessibility legal space relevant across the public, private, and education sectors.

About the Speaker:
Lainey is a disability rights lawyer who has worked with the blind community and public and private organizations to make the digital world more accessible since 1995. She helped negotiate the first web accessibility agreement in the United States in 2000. Lainey is an international speaker and serves as the Digital Accessibility Resource for Disability:IN. Lainey believes in collaboration over conflict, and developed and practices Structured Negotiation, a problem-solving strategy that avoids lawsuits and focuses on lasting change and relationship-building. She is the author of Structured Negotiation: A Winning Alternative to Lawsuits. The second edition of her book was published in 2021. More information on Lainey’s website, or follow her on Twitter.
