Building an Accessible and Highly Usable Transportation Website

Aim for perfection and accept excellence along the way. Our mission was to redesign and rebuild the transportation website for the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, conformant with WCAG 2.2 guidelines. At CodeGeek, we wanted to take it a step further and make it not just conformant but as highly usable as possible for everyone, including visitors using assistive technologies. We wanted to create one of the most usable transportation websites anywhere.

Join Kevin Sholander and Ron Zasadzinski as they review the accessibility and usability features created, dive under the covers, and show you how they did it. This includes creating accessible tables for the route schedules that work for sighted visitors and visitors using a range of assistive technologies, including screen readers. This webinar will offer practical takeaways to help your team on your own journey to building complex, accessible websites.
