WordPress Edinburgh Meetup (Online)

Hi All,
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re not able to run next Tuesday’s WordPress meetup 😔 We have therefore decided to postpone the meetup to the 24th of October.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

After last month's session, we’ve been putting together a 6-month plan for meetup sessions. We will be using the extra time this month to prepare our first set of talks, which will form a series of talks on the topic of “What to consider when creating a WordPress website from idea to launch”. The talks will cover the following areas:

1. Discovery (what, how, who and why of building your site)
2. Technical (setting-up)
3. Design & Development
4. Content & Editing
5. Going Live (Launching a website)
6. Maintaining and growing your website

Each meetup session will be composed of two short talks, one themed towards WordPress users and the other themed towards developers, with a Q&A at the end. We are also considering recording the talks and developing a website where we can store past talks, related resources, and further reading.

Our first sessions will be on ‘Discovery’ with Anthony and Ben giving us two short talks on the topic.

The meetup on the 24th will start at 6 pm (the first speaker starts at 6:30 pm) and will be held online. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their WordPress knowledge.
