Details

Hey WordPress Edinburgh Meetup folks,
We’re back again this month on Thursday, March 27, for our monthly meetup, this month we'll be hearing from Joel Barbara about how to improve your WordPress sites security.

What’s Happening:

  • When: Thursday, March 27, 6:30 PM GMT (join from 6:00 PM for chat).
  • Where: Online – https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85648615694?pwd=sbgQiiO6qIFWBjRfV9aYFqa8pVqq3B.1
  • What: Joel's talk 'How to improve WordPress security using threat modeling' walks us through hot to secure your website. Threat modeling helps identify security risks so we can take action to prevent them. By using models like STRIDE, we can cover key areas and enhance security. This talk will break down STRIDE (Spoofing, Tampering, Repudiation, Information Disclosure, Denial of Service, and Elevation of Privilege), explore its relevance to WordPress, and outline steps to mitigate associated risks.

As always everyone’s welcome, from WP newbies to wizards (yep, that means you!). It’s a chance to share, learn, and geek out over WordPress, no matter where you’re at.

See you on Thursday the 27th.
