About us
WordPress Faro is a local community of WordPress users, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts based in the Algarve, Portugal.
Our goal is simple: create an open space where people interested in WordPress can meet regularly, share knowledge, exchange experiences, and strengthen the local ecosystem of professionals and creators working with the platform.
A regional community connected to the national ecosystem
While the group is locally organized and independent, it is part of the wider Portuguese WordPress ecosystem. We collaborate and stay connected with the broader community through initiatives such as meetups in other cities and national events promoted by the Portuguese WordPress community.
Our aim is to represent and grow the WordPress community in the Algarve, contributing to the national network while focusing on the needs and interests of our region.

For years, the web has been built around navigation: menus, pages, and structured journeys. But user behavior is shifting fast. Instead of browsing, users increasingly expect to ask, get answers instantly, and move directly toward their intent.
For the WordPress ecosystem, this raises an important question: what happens when interaction replaces navigation?
In this session, we’ll explore how AI is reshaping the way users engage with websites—and what that means for how we design, build, and think about WordPress projects going forward.
What you’ll learn:
- Why traditional navigation patterns (menus, page hierarchies) are losing relevance
- The evolution from navigation → interaction → intention-driven experiences
- How AI copilots and assistants are being embedded directly into websites
