Big Wave! A return of sorts... and meeting in person again.

Good afternoon everyone!

I wanted to quickly reintroduce myself and share some news with you. As you know, Alex sent out a message that he wasn't going to be able to lead the local WordPress Meetup any longer.

When my second daughter was born, life happened and I had to step away from the group. Alex graciously stepped up when I was unable to lead the meetup and I'm happy to be in a different chapter in my life and I'm hopefully going to be able to start leading again.

The challenge though and what I ran into last time, is I'm a real estate broker who uses WordPress for a few side projects. I'm not a web developer. So I will have to lean on the rest of the members for their expertise and I will fill in what I know as best I can by connecting people and making sure we are all rowing in the same direction as a group and community.

I do however now have a space that we can use to meet. It holds about 20 to 25 people pretty easily and we can probably stretch that number if we need to. There is a TV that we can connect to for presentations, etc.

I know the group has been meeting on the second Tuesday of the month and we will eventually settle back into that, but I didn't want to wait until November to get together. So I've opted to setup a meeting on October 17th.

My goal for the first meeting is to introduce the meeting space to those who can attend. Shake some hands, meet and get reacquainted with the members and find out what topics and direction everyone would like to see the meetup go.
