Hey everyone, this month we are tackling WordPress Security in a full-blown, hands-on workshop. Designed for both the beginner (especially!) and the seasoned guru, we are going to learn how to actually lock down a WordPress website and defend it against real-world threats.

Being a practical workshop, expect to get your hands dirty and tinker with live websites.

🧑🏽💻 Game Plan for the Afternoon:

Session 1: The Briefing
- We'll kick things off with a quick dive into the basics of WordPress security.
- We'll cover the current threat landscape, common amateur mistakes, and what you need to know before we start patching.
Session 2: The Fixer-Upper Challenge
- We'll break into teams. Each group will be handed a temporary "Fixer-Upper" WordPress site that is intentionally riddled with bad practices and hidden vulnerabilities.
- Your mission? Audit the site, find the vulnerabilities, patch them, and harden the site as much as possible.
Session 3: The Debrief
- To wrap up, each team will get a few minutes to show off their work.
- You'll present the vulnerabilities you found, how you patched them, and what the rest of the room can learn from your fixer-upper.
