Monthly Meetup - Let's Shake This Up!

This month I want to try something a bit different. We're going to have speakers as usual, but I want to try even more time focused on group discussion. Myself or someone else will serve as moderator to keep things flowing, but I want to try formats other than just everyone watch one person talk the whole time.

Ever wondered how WordPress plugins actually work? In this session, we'll take a look at how plugins hook into the WordPress framework, as well as review some of the more commonly used code when building a plugin from scratch.

James Tryon - [Shortcodes] For What?

What are shortcodes? How do you use them? Where should you put them? How do you make one? We'll take a look at the use and usage of shortcodes on your site. Gravity Forms and content column shortcodes will be used as examples.
