Details

Happy fall everyone. This month we have two talks:

WordPress Theme Frameworks with a look at the Genesis Framework and Why You Might Want To Use It or Not!

Brian Jessee

Brian has been using Genesis for almost 4 years and has created everything from business directory sites to radio station websites using it.

Designing (Deciding) in the browser

Sang-Min Yoon

Designing (deciding) in the browser has become the modern approach to web design especially because of Responsive Web Design. In this talk, Sang will discuss and provide examples on why full comp PSDs are no longer useful and why emerging tools and techniques have resulted designers to design straight from the browser.

For the past five years, Sang has designed, developed and maintained websites for many companies, including SiriusXM Radio, Smithsonian Institution and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Currently, Sang works for Rock Creek Strategic Marketing as a Front-End Web Developer.

This month's venue AND food/drink will be sponsored by Rock Creek (http://rockcreeksm.com) and CHIEF (http://mybigchief.com).
