March 2013 Meetup - Topic A: Best Practices for Site Backups and Upgrades

Details
Greetings, WordPress Developers and Users, Going forward we will try holding our meetings on the second Monday of each month. The next one of those is Monday, March 11th.
Also, we are going to try a different venue: the "function room" at The Farm Bar and Grille (http://www.farmbargrille.com/manchester/home), on Elm St. in Manchester, just north of Bridge St. (Yes, I checked: Google Maps has the right address this time). This location should provide a larger meeting space and, for those who want to indulge, the chance to grab some refreshments. ( Check out a recent review of The Farm. (http://www.unionleader.com/article/20120201/NEWHAMPSHIRE0701/120209998) )
I'm going to be the guinea pig and make the first content presentation. MORE VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED TO PRESENT AT FUTURE MEETINGS. Please consider sharing some of your expertise with the rest of the group, and use the opportunity to exercise/polish your public speaking skills.
Here's the agenda:
6:30 - Meet and greet (incl. food & drink for the hungry/thirsty)
7:00 - Opening remarks and call for Open Forum discussion topics
7:15 - Topic A: Best (and safe) practices for backing up and upgrading your site. Presented by Jonathan May, YourPresenceOnTheWeb.com (http://yourpresenceontheweb.com)
8:00 - Open Forum
8:25 - Closing Remarks
8:30 - Post-Meetup Networking/Refreshments
Regarding the Open Forum segment of the program....Need help with a problem or question you have been struggling with? Or, got a hot topic that you want to share something about -- say, a new plugin you like, a theme you have tried, a trick you've found to do something cool/unusual in WP? Bring it to the Open Forum! Anything related to WordPress or to website development in general is fair game. We will poll the group for Open Forum topics at the beginning of each meeting.
Looking forward to another great turnout -- and hopefully everyone shows up at the same place this time! ;0)
Best regards,
Jonathan
p.s. -- By the way, the food and drink are all BYO (buy your own) -- at least until we get some sponsors to help foot the bill.
