A Live Look at WordPress Widgets

WordPress provides several blocks (ex. Archives, Latest Posts, Custom HTML, Search) that can be added as "Widgets" on pages, posts, sidebars, and other areas of your website. These unique blocks have many features that differ from other content blocks we've discussed previously.

In this Meetup, we'll demonstrate how these widget blocks work and how you can customize them to meet your needs. We'll also look at some alternative widget blocks from several free theme and block providers.

This will be an interactive, hands-on demo without slides, so you can watch along as we update a live website—and sometimes stumble along the way!

In the second half of our Meetup, we'll have our usual open forum where you can bring up any questions about your website or WordPress in general.
