This is the first in a working series of events where we will learn the fundamentals of different topics while collaborating together live on our new website for WordPress Knoxville.

This workshop will help us dive into the topic of the user journey. We will look at the foundations of what is called User Architecture. This is a broad field that covers all aspects that relate to or lead up to the User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI). This is where we get to know our users, plan elements that would be the most useful to those top users when visiting our website, and visually layout what our pages will look like, among other tasks.

This is our agenda for this collaborative workshop:

1. Intro - What is User Architecture and Information Architecture?
2. Read the room - user personas AKA "avatars"
3. Roadmap to top destinations - thoughtful strategy about our main menus
4. Address top pain points front and center - wireframing an effective homepage
5. Clear, compelling, and effective paths forward - strategy for our supporting pages and content
6. Wrapping up and moving to design - resource and information handoff for the next phase
