What we’re about
This is not a typical class or language exchange where people just chat. Instead, it’s an event that explores languages as cultural phenomena. German will be our main focus, but we’ll also compare it with participants’ native languages.
In this meetup, we’ll do fun activities and dive into curiosities, etymology, and idioms from German and other languages.
Topics include:
Traditions and customs from German-speaking countries, and how they compare to other cultures.
Curious and untranslatable words, and what they reveal about different ways of thinking.
Expressions and idioms that make each language unique.
Fascinating aspects of grammar and word origins.
The goal is to explore, reflect, and have fun with languages—learning from each other without pressure, strict levels, or the need to speak perfect German.
All levels are welcome. You can participate in German, Spanish, English, or your native language.

Ven a un encuentro donde exploraremos el alemán y otras lenguas a través de tradiciones, modismos, palabras curiosas y etimología, realizando actividades divertidas y comparaciones entre idiomas.
Aprenderás cómo cada idioma refleja cultura y pensamiento, sin presiones, sin niveles estrictos y sin necesidad de hablar perfecto alemán.
Todos los niveles son bienvenidos. Puedes participar en alemán, español, inglés o tu lengua materna.
