Something special happens when we write together, and read our raw material out loud.

We show up differently to our craft, and to one another.

We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from September to June. Same room, familiar faces. You're welcome to join at any point in the year, and your first session is free.

New and experienced writers welcome, in any genre, and at any level of English.

☕ Grab a drink or a bite (this gives us access to the space)

🗣️ Round of check-ins, around a question of the day

✍️ Receive the prompt (or do your own project), then an hour of writing

📖 We each read aloud for 2 minutes (if we feel like it).
Because it’s first drafts, we don’t give feedback.
Instead, we offer reflections: As a listener, what made you feel something? Did something stand out? Or leave you with a question?

Bring a notebook or laptop, whichever you write in.

📍We're in the Blue Room at the back of the Sister Brussels Café, Rue Chair et Pain 3, 1000 Brussels. Membership is €100 for the semester (Sep-Jan / Feb-June) or €150 for the year.

Sessions are hosted by Brune Smith, a writer and storyteller who's helped people write books, ran storytelling events during her years in Canada, and facilitated over 100 writing sessions for an Oregon-based writing center.
