Smart Cities and Urban Planning

Details

This month we’re exploring how developments in smart city technology and urban planning can make our cities and towns greener and more liveable.

Join us as we hear from:
Aileen Ryan from Preoptima, who have revolutionised the way sustainable building design and carbon analysis is approached. Both their Web App and API provide unprecedented access to real-time carbon impact data, an accurate bill of quantities, and associated material and structural impact information.

Dusty Gedge from Gentian, who design innovative new ways to carry out ecological surveys. They specialise in the use of remote sensing data and satellite imagery combined with advanced machine learning to detect vegetation. Their remote surveys can be used by Ecologists, Local Authorities, Land Owners, Development Companies, Insurance Companies, Regional and National Agencies.
