Ancestral Transcendence Poetry Workshop with Boudia Lafleur

Immerse yourself into a journey of poetry-writing and storytelling through gender liberation and ancestral healing. We'll discuss gender exploration, our relationship with the colonizer world, how poetry liberates our spirit, and acknowledging the trans, genderfluid, and Two-Spirit poets and storytellers of our time. Write poetry inspired by memories and ancestral meditation with an optional open mic at the end to share our reflections.

About your Instructor
Boudia Lafleur (they/them) is a local diviner and poet based in Oakland. Born and raised in Berkeley and are currently is 27 years old. They are also a sikom diloo animist of Métis and European ancestry. They taught this workshop last year for the first time at the weekend Art Jam hosted by the Spooky Haus art co-op in Berkeley.
