World In A Weekend

If you're into experiences: sampling locally, your country & the world, but: 
•  Needed to budget your leave days
•  Preferred to pay over time
•  Appreciate leaving the details to a competent organizer
•  "Get" the notion of civility (i.e, you know how to operate a "vibrate" or "silent" setting on a mobile phone and avoid the "speaker" setting for mobile entertainment and/or private phone chats in public)
• Wanted to get to know your travel companions before taking the plunge
• Looked forward to forging lasting friendships in a professional, well-run, active group of like-minded individuals.

WELCOME!!  
This group will hold regular meet-ups to explore new destinations, attend local events, and simply stay connected.   Local meets may include "virtual travel" (cinematic events filmed in exotic locales), multicultural festivals, bucket-list one-offs, planning meetings at member homes and/or sampling world wines & cuisine at local eateries, among other things. 
Every now and then, we'll throw in the odd adventure-of-a-lifetime opportunity lasting a week or more.
