[Online Talk] English small talk

When the time comes, the host allow you to enter Zoom.

Make sure to turn on your camera.

The meeting will end automatically at the closing time.

1.) Time slot

Please kindly check the meeting time at your local time.

2.) Rules

No offense! Respect other participants and avoid abrasive behaviors.

Try to share opportunities to speak up as fairly as possible.

You must NOT video-record the meeting or take a screenshot without permission.

3.) Procedure

The host will create breakout rooms and send you into one of the rooms. Each group will consist of 2-5 people.

Please begin with your self-introduction to each other, and talk freely.

In the middle of the meeting, the host shuffles the members of each room.

4.) Troubles

No immediate support is available. (Sorry!)

If there's a problem that you can't wait for the host's support, please leave the room for yourself.

I appreciate your help if you would report the problem's detail afterward so that I can think of a solution.

5.) Video camera

Your camera should be on as one of the requirements of this meeting.

But do NOT video record the meeting.

8.) Topics

Make sure to respect other participants. Avoid sensitive topics other participants don't like to talk about. Stop asking something your partner would rather not answer. Also, please try to share chances to speak out during the meeting as possible.

You can decide on what to discuss with other participants. No preparation is needed, but if you are worried about missing what to talk about, you can pick up some ideas in advance.
