The Shut-In Trail is the Mountains to Sea Trail from the Arboretum to Mt. Pisgah. I wouldn't do this trail most times of the year because it runs parallel to the parkway, and you get a lot of traffic noise. However, the parkway is closed south of Hwy 191, so there will be no traffic. This is a moderately strenuous out-and-back that should give us all a good cardio workout.
