Parking Address: 4854 Bearwallow Mountain Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792
Parking Notes: Roadside parking on Bearwallow Mountain Road. Coming from Asheville you'd typically take Hwy 74A to Gerton and Bearwallow Mountain Road (1 mile past the Strawberry Gap trailhead), but that road is closed since Helene. This means you'll have to go through Hooper's Creek and up the other side, so make sure your GPS is taking you that way and allow a little extra time. If you're coming from Arden or South Asheville, you'll go the way you'd normally go, since you wouldn't go through Gerton anyway.

Trail is 3/4 mile when it comes out of the woods. One full mile is at the top next to the cell towers. The best views are at the boulders up and to the left of when you come out of the woods. Once at the top, those interested can hike on to Little Bearwallow, for a round trip of around 5.25 miles.
