Comments
The Snakeden Ridge Loop is a moderate loop trail in Lamar Alexander Rocky Fork State Park. The trail runs next to a river for part of it and features chances to see wildflowers, wildlife, and some mountain views. This is a great trail to see a lot of Lamar Alexander Rocky Fork State Park as we hike the Rocky Fork Trail, Flint Creek Trail, and Blockstand Creek Trail.
A note about hiking ability: Note that this trail is around 6.8 miles long, 1,033 feet in elevation gain, and rated Moderate. We hike at a pace most reasonably active people can enjoy and do our best to keep the group together, so please reach out first if you’re unsure whether this hike is right for you.
A note about hornets and yellow jackets: Tis the season , and we've had encounters with them on recent hikes. If you have a known allergy and carry an EpiPen or other prescribed medication, please bring it with you on the hike. We're not able to provide or administer specialized allergy medication. We do keep Benadryl on hand for general reactions, but anything beyond that needs to be something you carry yourself.
