Beautiful Bluebells: Burgess Hill to Hassocks via Ditching Common

Details
Why not join me on this walk to Ditchling Common to hopefully see the stunning bluebells? Setting off from Burgess Hill station we will head in the direction of Ditchling towards the bluebells. After passing through the common, we will head south in the direction of the South Downs, climbing up Ditchling Beacon before taking the South Downs Way back towards Hassocks station.
This is a 11 mile hike on rough paths. There is one large ascent up Ditchling Beacon. We will need to keep up a moderate pace throughout the walk to ensure we complete it in a reasonable time.
Fee: £10 payable on booking (fee is to cover the organiser’s expenses only (e.g. insurance, certifications, Meetup fees). I've recently had to raise the fees as Meetup has unfortunately dramatically increased its costs in the past year.
Bring: packed lunch and plenty of water. You will want waterproofs and warm layers too, but also possibly sunscreen at this time of the year! Sturdy hiking shoes/boots will be best as there is a high likelihood of muddy paths. If you have them, poles may be beneficial too.
