Arundel to Amberley through Wepham Woods and up onto the South Downs

Details
We will head out from Arundel Station, taking a river path for a short while, before winding our way through Wepham Woods. From there we will head up onto the South Downs. We will follow the South Downs Way for a short time before dropping down into Amberley village and then back to Amberley Station where the walk will end.
This is a 13 mile hike which is long, with a fair amount of ascent and descent. We will mostly be walking on rough tracks which will be muddy in places. We will need to keep up a moderate pace throughout the walk to ensure we complete it in a reasonable time and before dark.
Fee: £10 payable on booking (fee is to cover the organiser’s expenses only (e.g. insurance, certifications, Meetup fees). I've recently had to raise the fees as Meetup has unfortunately dramatically increased its costs in the past year.
Bring: packed lunch and plenty of water. You will want waterproofs and warm layers too. Sturdy hiking shoes/boots will be best as there is a high likelihood of muddy paths. If you have them, poles may be beneficial too.
