We are thrilled to announce the WordPress Kathmandu August 2024 Meetup, where we will be diving deep into "Unlocking the Power of WordPress Block Variations."

Join us on Saturday, 31st August 2024, for an engaging and hands-on workshop aimed at enhancing your skills in developing and customizing WordPress block variations. This session will teach you how to unlock the full potential of block variations, enabling you to create creative, dynamic, and interactive blocks that elevate your WordPress projects and align with the latest trends in web development.

**Knowledge Required:**

* Basic knowledge of WordPress Block development
* React
* PHP (with an understanding of WordPress coding)

**Environment Setup:**

* WordPress installation
* Plugin setup using the “Create Block” package
* Latest version of Node.js
* Code editor (e.g., VS Code, Sublime Text)

**Important Note:**
As space is limited, prior registration is required to attend this workshop. Please remember to bring your laptop for the hands-on sessions.

**Rakesh Lawaju** is a web enthusiast, programmer, trainer, and entrepreneur based in Nepal who has been in the web field since 2008. He is the Founder and CEO of [One Loop Studio Pvt. Ltd](https://oneloopstudio.com/) and was the co-founder and CTO of WEN Solutions. He had worked as the project lead for the WP Travel plugin and other multiple plugins and themes. He is now leading the Gutenberg plugin called [Gutenify.com](http://Gutenify.com) and also working as a consultant for numerous international companies.
Rakesh has also worked for internationally renowned companies like 1E, WPMU DEV, and Graph Paper Press. In those companies, he has handled bigger projects, plugins, and themes.
He was on the organizing team of WordCamp Kathmandu in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and WordCamp Nepal in 2022 and 2024. During the release of WordPress 4.4 “Clifford”, he contributed to the WordPress core and contributed to translating WordPress into Nepali. He was a speaker at WordCamp Asia 2024, WordCamp Islamabad 2023, WordCamp Nepal 2015 and WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 and 2023. He is a frequent speaker at WordPress meetups. He has been an instructor for web development on PHP and WordPress development-related topics.
He has always been motivated to share the knowledge he gains and contribute to the growth and development of WordPress.
