WordPress & Vector DB Integrations and AMA for WordCamp Nepal

Hello WP Enthusiasts,

We are back with our regular monthly meetup for WordPress Kathmandu after a break.

For the November Meetup, we have come up with two meaningful sessions.

Session 1: WordPress & Vector DB Integrations by Krishna Neupane
This session introduces how vector databases and embeddings bring semantic search and AI-powered recommendations to WordPress. We’ll briefly cover what vectors are, how they differ from traditional keyword-based search, and when it makes sense to use them. You’ll learn how semantic search understands intent, improves relevance, and enables features like similar posts/jobs/products, smarter internal search, and content matching.

We’ll also explore practical ways to integrate vector DBs with WordPress, including syncing post/custom table content, generating embeddings, and running vector queries from PHP or microservices. The session includes a hands-on workshop and live demo, where participants will index real WordPress content into a vector database, run semantic searches, and see the results instantly on a WordPress frontend or dashboard.

Session 2: AMA for WordCamp Nepal
As it is well informed that WordCamp Nepal 2026 preparation is going on full swing and many would have the curiosity on how the organizing team are coming up with the different interesting things for the event. So to clear up all the curiosities, we will host a AMA(Ask me anything) for WordCamp Nepal with some of the organizing team members from WordCamp Nepal 2026 who will answer any questions about the event.
