Write a Latte Meeting - May 2026

Hello, fellow writers!

Let's meet at Balam Coffee & Wine in Ferndale for our May meeting.

Here are four discussion prompts we'll go over this month, in addition to anything else that comes up.

1. What’s a sentence, paragraph, or passage you wrote this month that still sticks with you?
Bring a short excerpt of something you’re proud of, confused by, or curious about and makes it feel important or challenging. (Optional read aloud.)

2. How did reading, watching, or listening to something influence your writing this month?
Let’s discuss books, films, podcasts, music, or even conversations that shaped tone, structure, character ideas, or motivation.

3. What part of the writing process felt easiest this month, and what felt hardest?
Let’s compare experiences around drafting, editing, plotting, dialogue, pacing, consistency, and/or confidence.

4. What advice would this month’s version of you give last month’s version of you as a writer?

We will not be writing during this meeting. Instead, we’ll focus on sharing WIP updates and motivating each other to push our projects into their next phase.
