As technical writers, we have a love-hate relationship with markup languages: from AsciiDoc to Markdown to reStructuredText, we’ve tried them all. We may not be particularly fond of them, yet we keep using them for technical documentation projects of all sizes.
What are their strengths and weaknesses?
Join us in a panel discussion on the technical writer’s equivalent of the tabs vs. spaces war: do you love markup languages? Why? Do you hate them? Why? How do you use Markdown, AsciiDoc, or reStructuredText to produce and maintain technical documentation? Is there something better?
