AI: Do I trust it?

Details
Several months ago, everybody thought that the world was on the verge of a new technological revolution — AI. Newspaper articles predicted that businesses would be able to replace a significant number of their staff with AI-powered tools and solutions. Now, months later, we are not so sure about this prediction.
Studies suggest that managers are very enthusiastic about using AI and want more employees to incorporate it into their daily work. Employees, on the other hand, are less interested. Partially because AI does not necessarily allow them to work more efficiently. Partially because nobody wants to do more work for the same amount of money. So even if they do use AI, they tend not to tell anyone about it.
Officially bringing AI into your workflows raises many questions, even in technical documentation:
- Should we inform our readers that we use AI to create the documents they read?
- And if we do, will they trust these documents as much as before?
- Can AI actually speed up our work and make it more efficient?
- Have you succeeded in implementing AI at work?
Let’s gather and share our success and failure stories.
Denis Stepanov will pique your interest with a guest talk about AI, trust issues, and how to handle them:

About the talk
LLMs are helpful for generating text, but they need additional strategies and human involvement to be consistent and reliable. In this discussion, we'll explore the technical aspects, limitations, and approaches used to improve LLM reliability.
About the speaker
Denis Stepanov is a Team Lead at Paper-analyzer and Researcher at JetBrains AI, focusing on ML tools for natural language knowledge extraction. He is also a Lecturer in Machine Learning and Deep Learning with an academic background in Statistics, Signal Processing, and Statistical Learning.
