Navigating the Future of Technical Writing in a Rapidly Evolving Tech Landscape
Scott Truelove
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been making strides in various industries, but there is a common misconception that it will eventually replace human technical writers. This talk aims to dispel that myth by presenting arguments and evidence on why AI will never fully replace technical writers.
Scott will examine the current limitations of AI in areas such as creativity, empathy, and problem-solving, which are critical skills for technical writing. Additionally, he will discuss the importance of human intuition, critical thinking and subject-matter expertise in technical writing and how AI falls short in these areas.
Lightning talks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A lightning talk is a very short talk, up to 5 minutes, where you share an idea, concept, or a bit of information you find interesting. They’re quick, easy, and a great way to speak in front of an audience for the first time.
Folks are welcome to present quick 5-min lightning talks around anything documentation! Slides optional.
