The world of technical communication is evolving rapidly, and so are the job titles that define our roles. From "Technical Writer" to "Content Designer," "Developer Advocate" to "Documentation Engineer," the landscape of what we call ourselves and what others call us continues to shift and expand.

Job titles aren't just labels; they shape how we're perceived, what opportunities we're offered, and how we fit into organizational structures. They can open doors or create barriers, accurately reflect our work or completely miss the mark. As our field grows and intersects with UX, product, engineering, and marketing, the question of naming becomes increasingly complex.

Join us as we explore the evolving taxonomy of technical communication roles and what it means for our careers and community.
