Overview

Level up your technical writing with practical tips and peer feedback—an inclusive online community for docs professionals to learn, share, and connect.

Details

We’ve reached the end of an eventful year. Join us for a conversation about the most significant technical writing topics, tools, and tasks we explored, learned, and heard about in 2025. Let’s learn from one another as we look back and ahead at current tech writing trends.
We’ll start with specific topics that sparked your curiosity every time they came up:

  • What are knowledge graphs, and how can technical writers use them?
  • Have you or your colleagues used LLMs to generate documentation? Have you found opportunities to hone your skills as editor, curator, or quality gatekeeper?
  • Have you retooled documentation to create AI-driven help experiences like chatbots? What tips can you share?
  • The user landscape is changing: there are more digital natives, software interfaces have evolved, and many people are getting answers through LLMs rather than consulting documentation. Have you adjusted your approach based on these changes, or others?

Then, more generally:

  • What kinds of tasks did you start doing in 2025? Are there any that you stopped doing?
  • What changed in 2025? What stayed the same?
  • Which skills matter most for technical writers now? What do you expect in the next couple of years?
