• What did you learn in the first few weeks of your favorite tech writing job? How did you learn it? In hindsight, what do you wish you’d learned sooner?
• If you manage tech writers, how have you brought new hires on board? If you have a training plan, what does it include? What techniques and mindsets have helped some of your new hires to thrive more than others?
• Who should a new tech writer talk with in their first few weeks? What questions should they ask?
• What kind of work should a new writer attempt first? What kind of work should a new writer not begin with?
• Does your project or role have a documented process with contributing guidelines that outline your workflow from assignment to publish?
