Focused conversation: Videos in documentation

Details
Join us for a focused and friendly conversation about videos in documentation. Videos for end users can be time-consuming to create and maintain, but when they’re done right, they can help people learn to love our products. Videos can also help documentarians during the documentation development process: recorded product demos capture the details that we missed in our notes.
Let’s benefit from our collective wisdom:
- Does your end user documentation include videos? If yes, who creates it? Are you involved in the process?
- Do you wish your documentation included videos? Why or why not?
- Do you use videos in documentation development?
- What are your favorite tools and services for creating, editing, transcribing, and hosting videos?
- How do you update videos?
- Tell us about the best videos you’ve created! Why are they your favorites? And, what have you learned from the ones that weren’t so great?
- Tell us about the best videos you’ve used! We want to learn from them, too.
Our Write the Docs community provides these helpful resources:
Bring your thoughts and questions, and attend for as long as your schedule allows. Our goal is to give you an opportunity to support and network with each other.
The discussion is on Zoom. We’ll post the links on the Meetup event by the previous evening. To attend, you must RSVP to the Meetup event. We use the attendees list to screen out Zoom bombers, so it's especially helpful if you have the same display name in Zoom as your name on Meetup.
