Join us for social hour! We want to hear what tech comm questions are on your mind. And in case your mind feels blank at the end of a busy week, we’ll be ready to draw from this growing collection of back-pocket topics:
- Have you ever served as a mentor/mentee? What was that experience like?
- What are some challenges of working remotely as a technical writer?
- Share your best tips for managing tight deadlines.
- How important are soft skills (communication, empathy) versus hard skills (coding)? How do these skill sets complement one another in technical writing?
- What is your favorite type of documentation? What do you like most about it?
- Share a success story where improving documentation had a significant impact on your users.
- What are some best practices for creating documentation that is easily translatable into other languages?
- How do you avoid over-engineering your docs?
- Share a professional development goal you are currently working towards.
- What literary genres have influenced your writing style?
- What metrics or indicators do you typically use to evaluate the impact of your docs?
