The Write Fit: Getting Hired as a Technical Writer

Details
🤔 What do hiring managers really think when they see your application?
At our May event, we’re getting real about job hunting in the world of technical writing, and we're doing it double-sided. 🪙 Learn how to stand out, what test tasks are actually testing, and how to navigate today’s market. If you’re tired of applying into the void, this event is your antidote.
First, David Oliver, a hiring manager who’s reviewed hundreds of applications, will share what he looks for in candidates, who catches his eye, and how he approaches writing tasks. David is the Director of Engineering at neo4j.
Next, Rachael Rowatt, a recruiter who places writers in roles every day, will talk about the current state of the job market, common CV mistakes, and approaches to portfolio building. Rachael is the Business Development Director and Recruiter at Edissero Technical Author Recruitment.
