WTD x GDS: Starting with User Needs

Write the Docs come to GDS! Join us for a special show & tell with technical writers from Government Digital Service (GDS) as they share how they write for user needs.
They’ll talk about user-centered design in GDS, their documentation processes, and how GDS technical writers apply the Government Design Principles. They’ll also show practical examples of how they’ve created documentation rooted in user needs, including when things don’t go according to plan.
This session will focus on technical documentation for government services, such as GOV.UK One Login, GOV.UK Pay, and GOV.UK Wallet.

The entrance to the building is on Whitechapel High Street. There will be WTD signs and someone from GDS to sign you in and escort you to the event.

🛑 Entry requirements

• This event takes place in a government office. You must show a valid photo ID to access the event and to pick up your entry badge.
• The name on your ID needs to match the name on your registration. You will be refused entry without an ID.
• Message the organisers if you need to update your name.
