Documenting APIs: A Mini-Conference

Details
We'll start at about 10 am in one of the big rooms in the Centrl Office.
The event will follow the tried and tested format used by the Community Leadership Summit (http://www.communityleadershipsummit.com/): an inspirational kick-off with keynote sessions and then break out from there for an Unconference in the Open Space format.
Given the newness of the API documentation space and all the changes that are happening to it’s tooling, I think Open Space should be a great fit for sharing knowledge on the topic.
Open Space (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Space_Technology) is an event format that maximises peer-to-peer learning through a series of discussions proposed by an event's attendees. No need to prepare slides, just bring your questions and whatever experience you might have gained about API documentation.
We have a large number of participants, and we hope that many of you will share your experiences.
On Sunday May 22, documentarians from all over the world will be arriving in Portland for the annual Write The Docs conference.
As part of the conference, we'll have a session on documenting APIs, that fuzzy architectural framework that defines web communication today. We want to encourage API developers to join us for that day. We're tentatively making this a “free” part of the Write The Docs conference.
