Write Together Peer Feedback Session
Details
We're holding our first Write Together KL Peer Feedback Session; a smaller, more focused session for writers who want to share their work and receive thoughtful feedback from other writers.
You'll spend the first part of the session in pairs or groups of three, where you'll read each other's work and give focused feedback. Each writer will bring a piece of up to 1,500 words that will be used for the giving and receiving of feedback from your peer.
The aim is to give you a chance to understand how your writing comes across to another reader, while also learning from the experience of reading and responding to someone else's work.
We'll keep the session intentionally small so that everyone has enough time for meaningful feedback and discussion. Please fill out the short Google Form to RSVP. Your form submission will be considered your final RSVP. We may not be able to accommodate additional participants once the session is full.
AGENDA:
1. Welcome & introductions
A brief introduction to the session and the writers taking part.
2. Small-group feedback — 1 hr 15 min
Participants will work in pairs or groups of three. Each writer will share their piece, introduce the work and ask 2–3 specific questions they would like their readers to consider.
Feedback will focus on what worked, what was unclear, where the reader's attention shifted, and any other observations that may be useful to the writer.
3. Full-group discussion — 45 min
We'll come back together as a group to share what came up during the smaller feedback sessions.
The remaining discussion will look at broader aspects of writing, such as plotting, writing processes, revision, and dealing with getting stuck.
