Magician to Perform at April 13 Write Now Meeting

Derrel Fitzgerald, a magician, will perform a 15-minute show, with an emphasis on creativity, at the beginning of the Saturday, April 13, Write Now meeting, scheduled from 2-4 p.m. in the conference room at Park Towers at 3310 Fairmount in Dallas. (Location details at bottom.)

Mr. Fitzgerald is waiving his usual fee and there is no charge to attend.

He will spend a few minutes answering questions after his performance, then we will have the usual session of writers presenting their work in any genre for gentle, constructive feedback.

Mr. Fitzgerald spent 11 years as manager of General Accounting for a Fortune 500 company, then founded a successful public accounting firm in the Metroplex.

He spends his weekdays performing magic and playing pickleball with his wife, Judy. He is known for his humorous commentary during his close-up shows, as well as for his magical shots on pickleball courts around the Mesquite, Texas, area.

Location Details: In approaching Park Towers you are advised to avoid Maple and proceed down Fairmount. There is construction on Maple and traffic has been squeezed into a single lane.

There are two entrances at Park Towers. Use the one where you can see the portico from the entrance. The other entrance goes to underground parking and you won’t be able to enter. There is limited guest parking on the side of the entrance as you approach the portico. If those spaces are filled keep driving past the portico to supplemental parking in the rear.

When you enter the building you will see the reception window. Tell the receptionist that you are attending the Write Now meeting in the Park Room (just down the hall on the left after you enter).
