AWG Meeting - In Person Anniversary Social and Book Swap

It's our anniversary! 19 years ago this month, 13 writers gathered at a Cosi in Courthouse and started talking about writing. And we're still here.

Let's commemorate with a potluck get together and the traditional AWG Murphy Book Swap. Details below.

There are two elements to this:

1) The Book Swap
a. Bring a wrapped book you want to share with someone.
b. Not a current best seller or top author - we're aiming to expand horizons!
c. Not a book YOU wrote.
d. Not a book someone in AWG wrote.
e. Standard Yankee Swap (Dirty Santa, White Elephant) Rules Apply: participants draw a number, beginning with #1, a book is selected and unwrapped. The bringer of the book says a few words about what they like about the book. The next higher number can select a book OR swap their number for any unwrapped book. And so it goes. Stolen books can't be immediately re-stolen and there is a max number of steals per book.

2) Light Food & Drink
a. Pot luck - bring something to share.
b. Note allergens on a card with your food - we have vegetarians, GF, and vegans among us.
