Writers IRL Meetup: Hastings

Details
Newsletter writers unite!
Growing into your newsletter on Substack, Beehiiv, Ghost or other?
Join our monthly meetup to make some IRL writing pals and get support and accountability.
Format: Quick intros. Share what you've published this month (readings welcome). Share tips and best practices for newsletters and digital publishing. Updates on any interesting creative happenings around town.
Last month, we met Tim Barlow & Gwen Coates, who are hosting the Hastings Book Festival Fringe in September. Tim has set up a newsletter on Substack - a great way to build community and sell tickets. And a content asset post-event. Check it out.
You're welcome to bring books & mags that have inspired you.
The guest list is open so you can see who's coming and connect online.
PS The 'slightly mad band' playing downstairs (Custard Caravan - love that name) have switched their slot so won't be on this month.
Barnaby's opens at 3 pm so I'll try and get there early to do some work - you're welcome to join me. It's a nice cosy spot to work and there are some good exhibitions on - I love how Barnaby has made this into a multimedia space for the creative community.
Look forward to seeing you!
Have a great week.
Cheers, Nika 🥂

A newsletter for entrepreneurial writers navigating the new and weird world of work. Come on in - the water's lovely.
Outside The Shift, I run Firebird, a delightfully tiny storytelling studio.
