The Short Attention Span Storytelling Hour

Details
This is Orlando's premier literary open mic, where writers, poets, musicians, and comics can take the stage and share their material with a group of supportive, positive people.
You can read an excerpt of a novel, an essay, part of a memoir, a poem (or two), a radio play, or a piece of standup you've been working on. If you're stage-shy, you can even get someone else to read your work for you.

This month, we are excited to have two featured presenters!

Joy Baglio is a speculative-literary fiction writer whose work has appeared widely in literary magazines, including American Short Fiction, The Missouri Review, Tin House, The Iowa Review, The Fairy Tale Review, Conjunctions, and elsewhere. Recent honors include fellowships at Yaddo, Vermont Studio Center, grants from The Elizabeth George Foundation, The Speculative Literature Foundation; and scholarships from Bread Loaf and Sewanee writers' conferences. Joy holds an MFA from The New School and is the founding director of the literary arts organization Pioneer Valley Writers' Workshop.
She is the current writer in residence at the Kerouac House.
