About us
Welcome to a social writing circle for those who crave something a little different. Join us for a fun writing experience built to ignite your imagination, fuel fresh ideas, and test your creative intuition. Hosted by a professional editor with books in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and Amazon bestsellers, Writers Uncommon is a space to stop overthinking, start writing, find your lens, and connect with other writers in your area.
This is a sanctuary for raw writing—a judgment-free space where we celebrate your work, not critique it.
From first-time writers to published pros—every voice is welcomed and has a seat at the table.
What to Expect:
Come in, get settled, and grab a provided Writers Uncommon notebook. We’ll kick things off with a brief introduction before diving into unique, fun, creative improv writing exercise, followed by open conversation to share our perspectives and get to know eachother. Don't be afraid. This is a no judgment zone!
*Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled so we can start the session on time.*
Materials:
Bring a pen or pencil.
* A Writers Uncommon notebook will be provided to you as a home for all the ideas you’ll generate during the session. Remember to bring it to all future Writers Uncommon sessions. **
We ask that you support our host venue by ordering a beverage or snack upon arrival.
