About us
We are people who care about making the reader experience awesome by delivering excellent documentation. We're writers, developers, designers, learning professionals, and documentation enthusiasts. Come to our meetup and strategize how to make documentation great, enjoy a beverage and refreshments, and meet fellow people who care about documentation in the ATX metro area.
Want to keep chatting with fellow documentarians in Austin in between events? Checkout our LinkedIn page or join the #austin channel on the Write the Docs Slack to keep the conversation going!
Want to present an idea or a project you recently completed? You can send us a direct message on Meetup or on our LinkedIn group page.
What can you expect when joining one of our meetups? An inviting and collaborative group of doc folks who love to learn, are passionate about the user and author experiences alike, and have a deep desire to help other documentarians succeed! Check out our code of conduct.
Received a suspicious email from someone claiming to be an organizer?
Every now and then, a bad actor pretends to be an organizer or member from Meetup via email. We do not send out emails to members, save for event announcements and reminders. Anyone claiming to have a job opportunity, be a book publisher, you-name-it is likely a scammer. If someone reaches out to you in this manner, please let us know by messaging the organizers here.

Beyond Networking: Building a Docs Community for Continuous Growth & Resiliency
Cloudflare Office, 405 Comal St, Austin TX 78702, Austin, TX, USDo you dread networking because it feels transactional or fake? Do you feel professionally isolated, whether you are studying alone, working remotely, or navigating a tough job market? Are you looking for a way to build a support system that actually helps you build skills without draining your energy?
Then you don't want to miss this month's WTD ATX meetup! We’ll be discussing how to replace "solo grit" with a genuine support network. Drawing from years of experience as a WTD member and organizer, Caley Burton will share a practical blueprint for turning passive contacts into active allies. This session is designed for everyone—from students and entry-level writers to industry veterans—focusing on mutual mentorship and sustainable connection. If you’ve never attended a WTD ATX event, this a great first event to attend!
Registration link: If you intend on coming, you need to register via Verkada. This is specific to gaining entrance to the Cloudflare office.
This month’s event is sponsored by Cloudflare Austin. They’re opening the first floor kitchen and social area for us to meet and learn from each other–and they’re providing snacks and drinks. Don’t forget to ask them about their job opportunities! Also, if you know a student who would make a great intern, tell them about Cloudflare’s tenacious goal to hire 1,111 interns in 2026.
